Can someone suggest a good tragedy/romance manga?

In ALL of the manga romances I have read the MC doesn't end up with the character I wanted, which makes me kinda sad. Recently I have been more attracted to the Mangas in which one of the main characters die in the end, thus not ending up with anyone. (Morbid and mean of me, I know :/) Can anyone suggest any good mangas like this? The only exampe I can think of that I liked was Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life. Oh! And no /yaoi please. =)
