I have the sims 2 university and my sims has grown up into a teen and wants to go to college?

i have the sims 2 university and my sims has grown up into a teen and it also wants to go to college. For two of the wants it wants a cellphone and a handheld game(looks like a gameboy advance) i have checked in the buy catalog and i don't see neither the cellphone or the handheld. do i have to upgrade it?......... Where? or what will i have to do to find it?
